Restorative Bodywork for Relaxation and Lasting Wellbeing
Welcome to my little corner of the World Wide Web - my name is Veronika and I created Relax & Renew as a space where people can step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with themselves and experience the restorative benefits of holistic bodywork.
My journey into massage therapy began in Germany in the 1990s, when I trained as a beautician and massage therapist in my late teens. It was always the therapeutic aspect of working with the body that resonated with me.
Life, however, led me in a different direction. Over the years, I worked in a variety of client-focused roles, always enjoying the opportunity to support and connect with people. Later, I chose to dedicate my time to raising my children, a role that brought its own rewards and challenges.
Following a significant change in my personal circumstances in 2018, I felt drawn back to the world of massage therapy. I enrolled at Blackrock Further Education Institute, where I spent two years studying a range of massage modalities and deepening my understanding of holistic health and wellbeing.
During my second year, I was introduced to Lomi Lomi Nui by my wonderful teacher, Louise Kleu. The moment I experienced this beautiful Hawaiian healing art, I knew I had found something truly special. I fell in love with the rhythmic, flowing movements, the graceful dance and the feeling of the ocean that is reflected in every treatment. I knew immediately that Lomi Lomi Nui is more than just a massage. I feel completely in my element giving. There is a sense of flow, presence and connection that makes this work so meaningful to me. Sharing this beautiful practice and supporting others on their journey towards rest, release and renewal is both a privilege and a joy. Lomi Lomi is not only beautiful to perform - it is even more beautiful to receive.
I qualified at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and my professional plans had to be placed on hold. During that time, my focus remained on supporting and caring for my children.
In 2024 I finally took the step of launching Relax & Renew Holistic Massage and turning my passion into a profession. I feel fortunate to support members of my local community on their wellbeing journeys and I am grateful for the trust my clients place in me.
Since establishing my practice, I have continued to deepen my knowledge through ongoing training and professional development. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey and I remain committed to refining my skills and expanding my understanding of the many ways holistic bodywork can support health and wellbeing.
For me, this work is far more than a career - it is a vocation. I am passionate about the body's innate ability to heal when given the opportunity to rest, restore and rebalance. Through touch, presence and a nurturing approach, my intention is to create a space where clients feel safe, supported and truly cared for.
